![]() ![]() I looked up how to install it, and I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right. Kmh12177: I havent played FTL in years, but a new mod called "Multiverse" popped up on my youtube feed and looks great. Launch the game via this shortcut instead of FTLGame.exe. (So you're adding -directx after the final quotes). If the game crashes with "Mingw Assertion Error" when the loading bar reaches E, then open the file manager, navigate to FTL's folder, right-click FTLGame.exe, Create Shortcut, right-click the shortcut, click Properties, and change the Target from ".whateverPath/FTLGame.exe" to: ".whateverPath/FTLGame.exe" -directx ![]() When it finishes, you can run the gameġ1. In Slipstream, open File > Prefs > Allow Zip. The filename they give you is wrong, it has to be ftl.dat.ĩ. You have to select ftl.dat in your FTL installation folder. Drag Multiverse***.zip to Slipstream's mods folderĨ. Download and install Java 1.8 if you can't open modman.exe, from Ħ. Download Hyperspace from, extract it, and copy what's inside the “Copy to where ftlgame.exe is” to FTL's root folderĤ. In GOG Galaxy, downgrade FTL to 1.6.9 in Manage InstallationĢ. For GOG, there's a built-in way to install 1.6.9: open the game page in GOG Galaxy, click Manage Installation, and you can select an older version.ġ. Anyway, the downgrade.bat is for the latest Steam release only. But it does mention this in their installation. Their README is very poor, because the entire FTL modding community is a bunch of amateurs still using Google Drive and Dropbox as their distribution method and unable to automate anything. It might just be that the newest version of Hyperspace is glitchy, and in that case if someone can post versions of Hyperspace and Multiverse that theyve played Ill just try the slightly older versions. This Multiverse mod seems like a big thing in the FTL world so I'm hoping someone here has ran into this and figured out the solution. I know the best place for this would be at the subsetgames boards, but I only have an account here and this place has always been great for things like this. I tried many times with 1.6.9, thinking maybe Galaxy was changing it somehow. ![]() When I run the Downgrade.bat, theres a line in there that reads "this mod is not intended for this rom". Get newest version of Multiverse(4.10.3), move that zip into slipstream mods folder, change it to. Get newest version of Slipstream(1.9.1), move Hyperspace.ftl into mod folder, change pref to accept zip filesĤ. get newest version of Hyperspace (0.7.1), move files in the explicitly named folder to FTL dir, run downgrade.batģ. But after trying all day, the closest I've come is the multiverse loading screen - it almost finishes loading, the ftl music starts, and it never starts.Ģ.
